Information
Repository

In September
1999, the Radford Army Ammunition Plant (RFAAP) set up an information
repository at a local library. The repository includes RFAAP Installation
Restoration Program (IRP)-related information and will be updated
as necessary and as new materials become available.
An information repository is a collection of documents relating to a Superfund
site and/or a sites permitting activity or corrective action.
It includes documents and information about site activities as well
as general information about environmental regulations such as the
Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and the Comprehensive
Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA,
commonly referred to as Superfund*). The purpose of an information
repository is to (1) ensure open and convenient public access to
site-related documents and (2) better inform the public of the restoration
process.
The RFAAP information
repository is located at a local library for convenience and accessibility
to the public. It has copying facilities available.
